Folk Art

Folk Art

To make our Folk Art, we had to start off with a blank slate! We started by drawing hills on the paper. Next we drew the houses, clouds, and the trees. We were supposed to draw fifteen or more sections on the hills. Next, we had to draw different shapes like circles, hearts, triangles, etc inside the sections. Our next job was to color in the shapes with wax crayons. We had to color very dark. Then we used watercolor paint and painted over the areas that were still white. Some kids even chose to leave some spots white.
The effect of the painting and crayons was awesome! The paintings turned out great and they were very colorful and vibrant!
Room 15 has beautiful art!
